Subsecond Performance is the training division of Subsecond LLC. We deliver practical, performance-based instruction to law enforcement and military professionals. Every instructor is currently serving. Every course is built around the realities of the job, agency policy, and law enforcement rules of engagement, not military ROE.
Our Mindset
Our instructors are working patrol supervisors, SWAT operators, and Special Forces veterans. We teach what we do on shift.
Training stays inside the confines of law enforcement policy and the courts. We respect tier one units and train alongside them, then bring it back to what patrol can actually apply.
Our team attends top-tier courses ourselves to keep instruction current.
Methodology
Flat range fundamentals first, then tactical movement, then scenario-based pressure.
Course content is adjusted from student feedback. More movement, more reps, less lecture.
Custom courses are built around your team's SOPs, policy, and mission set.
Drills are scored and debriefed. Students leave knowing where they stand.
Featured Course
Patrol officers are the true first responders to hostage and high-threat calls. This course prepares them to recognize, react to, and resolve exigent threats when seconds count and specialized units are not on scene. Tactical decision-making, immediate action drills, crisis communication, and scenario-based structure response.

Founder, Subsecond LLC
Former U.S. Army Special Forces Weapons Sergeant with 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), bringing real-world experience from combat and overseas deployments. Founded Subsecond in 2018 with a simple purpose: build better gear and better training for the people who rely on both when it matters most.
Director of Training
Sergeant, West Haven Police Department, CT. 14 years law enforcement. 12 years on the agency's Special Response Team as assaulter and sniper/observer. 7 years as a patrol/SWAT K9 handler, currently assigned to the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force. Connecticut POST-certified instructor since 2016.
Instructor
27 years law enforcement. 18 years full-time SWAT, Virginia Beach Police Department. Sniper, breacher, and assistant team leader. Trains regularly alongside federal and tier one units.

11 years law enforcement. 8 years full-time SWAT, Virginia Beach Police Department, with more than 600 high-risk operations. SWAT sniper and explosive breacher. Virginia DCJS-certified firearms instructor, active shooter response instructor, and crowd management instructor.

12 years law enforcement. Training Officer with patrol, SWAT, and sniper experience. U.S. Army and National Guard veteran.
