Frequently Asked Questions

Is there any discounts for military/law enforcement?
We designed The Belt Exchange Program where you can turn in an old gun belt (does not have to be a Subsecond belt) and earn 20% off your next belt purchase. Click here for a step by step guide.

We price our products as low as we can up front because we know that most of our customers are military service members, law enforcement officers, and first responders using their own paychecks to replace or supplement the gear they were issued. Because of this, we do not offer a discount for orders off the website.

Is Subsecond gear American made?
We are proud to harness the power of American manufacturing to build your equipment and use only the highest quality materials available. Subsecond gear is Berry Amendment compliant, meaning it is made in America, by Americans, out of US-made materials.

How does your sizing run?
Please, refer to our sizing guide after measuring. Measure over your pants, where you prefer the belt to sit. We highly recommend utilizing a tailors tape for this and running it through your belt loops as if it were your belt. With that measurement we can find the ideal sizing range. If you are in between sizes we recommend sizing down.

Where is my order?
All our belt systems are built to order. Our lead time is currently 4 to 5 weeks from the time the order is placed. For orders that do not have a belt system expect your order within 1 to 2 weeks.

Can I get my belt system sooner?
If you need your belt system for a deployment or training please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate our customer's needs.

My belt is too big/small. How do I go about getting it resized?
If your belt is too big/small we can send you a return shipping label and it will cost 10% of the cost of the belt to get it resized, and 15% to change out inner belts. If you are The process normally takes 1 to 3 weeks to complete.

My unit wants to order in bulk. How do we do that?
We would love to supply your department or unit. Just shoot us an email at devon@subsecondllc.com to get the process started.

Is the Operator 3.0 load/air rated?
The Operator 3.0 is ideal for restraint systems where preventing access to a fall hazard is critical. However, it lacks the comprehensive safety mechanisms required for fall arrest systems, which involve stopping a fall that has already occurred.
The Operator 3.0 is not a load rated rappel system. It is a belt system not a climbing harness with leg straps.
