"In Ancient Greek mythology, an Aegis was something that provided personal protection- to us, Aegis is an American made blade that is purpose built to provide the same.
Aegis V2 takes the original and elevates it to the next level- It features a 7.75” overall length, hollow ground bevels, and a flat tip- slicey where you want it, and strong where you need it. It’s made of 1/8” Magnacut stainless steel and heat treated to 63HRC for great toughness AND edge retention. It’s then cerakoted for protection from the elements and a killer look. Changes for Aegis V2 include a 1/4” overall length increase, the addition of jimping for better control in both standard and reverse grips, and increased depth in the finger grooves to aid in better indexing and retention during both the draw and use of the blade. Users who compare the V2 to the original Aegis will notice that it fits better in larger hands or with a glove on, and overall feels more secure in use. Lastly, the sharpening choil on Aegis V2 has been increased in size considerably, allowing for endless edge touch ups and better protecting the plunge lines from being bitten into by sharpening tools, especially belts.
Aegis features a slim, textured scale that is intended to be grippy even when wet, and that feels great in hand. The scales are secured by 1/4in Gulso Bolts that reliably align time and time again, no matter how often you disassemble it. An adjustable kydex sheath is included with every Aegis!
The Aegis sheath has been redesigned to allow a full hand to index on the knife during the draw, and is specifically configured with concealed carry in mind. We recommend using the Discreet Carry Concepts Mod 4 1.5” Universal Clip for this knife.
